Make your creative keepsake in a few easy steps.

1. Choose a piece
   At The Pottery Place, we have a variety of different shapes and sizes. Choose the perfect size for your party. Round, square and rectangular platters range in price from $18 to $75. Studio fee is an additional $8 per hour.

2. Choose a design
   Bring in a design that relates to the theme of your party or event or browse our collection of images, stamps and stencils. When planning your design, don't forget to decide what color you want your guests' signatures to be.

3. Paint your design
   Once you know how you want your platter painted, you can choose to paint it yourself or hire us to custom paint it for you. Fire in our kilns Once your platter is completely painted, it needs to stay with us so we can glaze and fire it. This process takes us a week.

4. Take to your party
   We have special glass pens available that are suitable for your guests to sign their names and leave you congratulatory messages. Simply place your painted platter and the pens on a table and watch the fun begin.

5. Bake and enjoy!
   After waiting at least 24 hours, your signed platter is ready to be cured in your home oven for about 35 minutes. Once baked, it is ready to be displayed and enjoyed for light food use for years to come.
